You will have to zero each tool separately, every time you change the tool.Įven though a CNC machine I extremely accurate, it is only as accurate as you set it up. This operation is crucial else your toolpathing will be useless, and inaccurate. Then, when you are ready to cut, make sure you have zero'ed your tool to either table or material top (the way you designed your material setup in Aspire). Then in your toolpath, you can set the depth, so if you want to cuthalf way through, you would set the depth to 1.2mm. For grooving or carving I prefer using the top of the material, and when I'm cutting through, I use the bottom of the material (in other words the top of your table/spoiler board). Then decide if you want to zero your tool at the top of your material, or the bottom, and set your material accordingly. CNC machines are desired for very small tolerances,so even 2.4mm are accurate enough. A few things to check in your Aspire toolpath, first of all, is your material setup correctly, specifically your material thickness.
